The NSW Supreme Court ruled in the case of Metstech Pty Ltd v Park that Metstech owns copyright in a range of works created by Mr. Chou, including designs for printed circuit boards (PCBs) and other manufacturing documentation. However, it does not own copyright in software made by Mr. Martin, but has an exclusive license to access and modify the source code. The court also found that Metstech provided funding and resources for the creation of these works, and therefore owns the copyright.
