Mason Rothschild Appeals Hermès’ Win in MetaBirkins Lawsuit

Mason Rothschild is appealing the recent ruling in the MetaBirkins lawsuit against Hermès. A New York federal court denied Rothschild's request for judgment in his favor and granted Hermès a permanent injunction, which prevents Rothschild from selling the Birkin artwork-linked non-fungible tokens (NFTs) and using the MetaBirkins domain. Rothschild's counsel has filed an appeal with the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, challenging the court's opinion, order of permanent injunction, and final judgment from the previous trial. Hermès accused Rothschild of trademark infringement and cybersquatting with his MetaBirkins NFT collection.
