DC Court Says No Copyright Registration for Works Created by Generative AI

Judge Beryl Howell ruled in favor of the U.S. Copyright Office in Dr. Stephen Thaler's case, which challenged the denial of his application for a work created using generative AI technology. The opinion supports the USCO's decision not to register a work produced by an AI system called The Creativity Machine. Case: Stephen Thaler v.
