'Embedding' Copyrighted Works on a Website is Not Infringement, Holds Ninth Circuit 

The Ninth Circuit held that embedding copyrighted works on a website does not constitute infringement. This decision was made in the case of Hunley v. Instagram, where BuzzFeed News and Time were not held liable for unauthorized display of photographers’ Instagram content, as embedding does not involve re-storing the content.
