Models, Moda Operandi Settle Lawsuit Over Runway Images

Moda Operandi and a group of over two dozen runway models have settled a lawsuit that lasted nearly three years. The models claimed that Moda Operandi and Vogue used their images without permission to sell fashion items. The settlement agreements have been executed, and parties expect to file stipulations of dismissal soon. The lawsuit started in September 2022 when the models sued Condé Nast and Moda Operandi for using their images. The court dismissed most of the false endorsement claims against Condé but did not uniformly dismiss them against Moda Operandi. Most of the models' right of publicity claims were also dismissed.
