Franzen, Grisham and Other Prominent Authors Sue OpenAI

Prominent authors John Grisham, Jonathan Franzen, and Elin Hilderbrand, among others, have filed a lawsuit against OpenAI, alleging that the company violated their copyrights by using their books to train its chatbot technology. The authors claim that the chatbots can now produce derivative works that imitate and summarize their books without compensation or notification.
