The Retained EU Law (Revocation and Reform) Act 2023 aims to repeal, revoke, or amend certain EU laws retained in the UK after Brexit by the end of 2023. It also allows UK courts to depart from retained EU case law. The UK Intellectual Property Office has published regulations for intellectual property rights to avoid unintended consequences of the Act. The regulations will come into effect on 1 January 2024.
